Advanced Bionics, manufacturer of cochlear implants designed to restore the hearing of the severely deaf is looking for the following for its growing business in the UK, Ireland and Scandinavia:

CLINICAL / TECHNICAL SPECIALIST

A self-motivated, energetic and highly organised professional is sought to join our customer focused technical team. As an expert in the clinical applications of the device, you will have considerable involvement in both the training of medical staff and the monitoring of clinical trials within specialist clinical centres. You will be trained to develop an in-depth knowledge of hearing and cochlear implants. Your strong customer-relationship building, as well as your participations in the writing of academic publications will be used to full advantage!

A graduate scientist with experience or a further degree in audiological science, medical electrical engineering or a related discipline, you will ideally possess knowledge of medical physics and/or active medical devices. You will have a passion for cutting edge medical technology and the quality of life improvements it brings. You will have the requisite IT skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) to work on your own. Being fluent in English is a requirement and additional European languages are welcome.  You can handle unforeseen events and priorities, you like working in multidisciplinary teams and you have excellent communication skills. Travel mainly within the UK, with occasional overnight stays will be required and some international travel will be necessary.
