Following the announcement by Sonova AG to the European financial markets this morning, we are pleased to confirm that the contract has been signed for the purchase of our organisation by Sonova AG. AB will be joining Phonak as another independent division of the Sonova group.
We believe this a significantly beneficial outcome for the Advanced Bionics organisation which has the potential to provide the expertise and critical mass to help propel us to the leading position in the cochlear implant market during the next three years. We enthusiastically embrace this acquisition believing it to be in the best long-term interest of our patients, customers and ourselves.
