Developed in partnership with audiologist around the globe, the new software platform automates and accelerates many programming steps to reduce programming time significantly. |
Much of the contact time between audiologists and cochlear implant users is spent setting basic program parameters rather than fine-tuning hearing, counseling family members or engaging in rehabilitation activities - all contributors to successful cochlear implant use.
Children, especially the very youngest, are the greatest programming challenge for audiologists. Their short attention spans and limited experience with hearing, make setting program parameters much more difficult.
The software developed for programming HiResolution Sound introduces a new methodology for programming cochlear implants. Developed in partnership with audiologists around the globe, the new software platform automates and accelerates many programming steps to reduce programming time significantly.
It has been designed for a range of fitting methologies and diagnostics:
- Simplified fitting procedure for better fitting time efficiency
- Flexibility for advanced fitting
- Display input option for better sound capture observation
- Access to HiResolution with or without Fidelity™ 120
- Neural Response Imaging (NRI) for assurance and confidence (surgery / fitting) - NRI is a very quick and non-invasive diagnostic tool that audiologists can use to confirm that the hearing nerve is responding to electrical stimulation. This may assist audiologists in programming infants or young children who otherwise provide behavorial response.
